YSS Shocks are not built to order for rider weight and come with a standard rate spring.
If you feel you are above or below average weight then a spring ugrade is available at an addtional cost.
This shock absorber was specificly developed for the BMW R9T, therefore all mountings are fit to the standard bike.
The length of the shock is as standard, 370mm
It replaces the standard shock 1 on 1.
This shock is the absolute top of the bill, it is a fully adjustable shock, separated Hi-Low speed compression, hydraulic spring preload adjuster, rebound and length.
This shock absorber improves the standard behaviour of the bike in a very positive way. It is more comfortable, gives the rider a more solid feeling and is safer in use because the Nitrogen supported damping system is very effective and adjustable.
YSS shock absorbers have a very wide range of use compared to other brands, so solo use for lighter riders or duo use with 2 somewhat heavier riders is no problem, this all fits within the adjustment range. (tools are included)
